Fun! More Fun! Sew Much More Fun! That is exactly what you will have at our 12th annual Martha’s Sewing Market in Arlington, Texas, June 18-20, 2009. I believe this is one of the most exciting sewing educational events held in the world. It is such a great value with the daily admission priced at only $17 and it’s even less if you purchase your tickets by May 29, 2009. I thank Baby Lock, USA for underwriting this whole show and for their generous gifts of machines to be given away at all of our celebrity events as DOOR PRIZES and as the People’s Choice prize for our sewing contest!

We have a wonderful selection of BRAND NEW seminars for attendees to choose from each day! There will be FREE seminars every day. You will have 5 FREE seminar time slots on Thursday and Friday and 3 FREE seminar opportunities on Saturday (after paying your daily admission). You do not pre-register for these classes. Just walk in and sit down!

Our Three Celebrity Events this year-at NO extra cost- will be on Thursday and Friday nights at 6:30pm and Saturday at 9:00am. A Baby Lock machine will be given away as a door prize at each of these three celebrity events. Have you ever heard of better door prizes at any event? Thursday night Ellen March, editor of Creative Machine Embroidery, will present a women’s fashion show featuring machine embroidery on fabulous clothing.

Friday night will be the “Texas Follies” with Sue Hausmann and Martha Pullen telling funny stories from their years of sewing travels, showing funny movies of bloopers, and leading funny sewing sing- alongs. Sue will sing for you and yours truly (Martha) will tap dance. The music and dancing continues on Saturday morning as Christopher Nejman shares pure sewing/embellishing magic with you through his unbelievable pillows and bags which are beyond stylish, creative and sophisticated.

Just wait until you discover what NEW EXCITEMENT we have in store for you! Pre-day Sit and Sew classes will be offered on Wednesday, June 17, 2009!! Please register early for these classes as well as the serger and machine Sit and Sew classes offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday since class attendance is limited. For all of the other fabulous FREE seminars (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) you will just walk into the classroom and take a seat. These are first come, first served. We have fabulous vendors bringing all types of machine embroidery, quilting, sewing software, heirloom sewing, smocking, hooping, textiles, fashion fitting and couture sewing, sewing machines and notions! Many of these vendors will be teaching seminars. WE have our favorite vendors returning and LOTS OF NEW VENDORS!

Martha’s Sewing Market Contest will be better than ever! Enter your sewing masterpieces in one of our 7 contest categories and have a chance to win wonderful prizes if selected. Once again, the wonderful Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX will be the beneficiary of your $5 donation entry fee. Each of the 7 categories will have a first, second and third prize! The GRAND SEWING
CONTEST PRIZE will be voted on by attendees-a People’s Choice! Each person with an admission armband gets one ticket to vote each day and they can vote for ANY entry in the contest. The People’s Choice winner will receive a Baby Lock Ellisimo Sewing & Embroidery Machine!
